Terrra Village is a well-established and valued Sourcing Agency for products manufactured/produced out of India and Bangladesh; they are based in these two countries and located in their respective Capitals: New Delhi and Dhaka. Ronobir DasGupta and Ipshita Nandi DasGupta lead the organization.
They work closely with Country Heads based in Chennai for India operations and Dhaka for Bangladesh operations. A well-spread-out team of capable and experienced Merchandisers and Quality Check Officers in every product vertical makes for the organization's backbone. Together, Terrra Village Sourcing Pvt. Ltd. upholds its name for competence, know-how, and reliability. Terrra Village Sourcing Pvt Ltd provides end-to-end, cost-effective, and competitive solutions, from identifying reliable and capable manufacturing partners to ensuring competitive products, quality control, compliance checks, and logistics with hands-on supervision at every stage, maintaining close work-in-progress records and follow-ups. Maintains long-term association with fully compliant production facilities, meeting Standard as well as Organic certifications, as per the requirements of importers.
In addition, the senior management regularly visits all manufacturing facilities in India and Bangladesh as well as Europe and the U.S. to meet with clients. Great emphasis is placed on quality and safety in all areas, especially during the selection of vendors, suppliers, and operation partners, as well as in the development and manufacturing of the products. In addition to an internally implemented control system, the products are checked regularly by internationally recognized and leading research and testing institutes. Ipshita
Ipshita has acquired over 30 years of experience in multivariate fields ranging from Advertising & Marketing, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, and Public Affairs to being the Senior Advisor & Chief Convener of Sustainable Development Goals - U.N. 2030 Conclaves. Additionally, she is an accomplished Business Management & Integrated Marketing Communications expert.
Ipshita started her career in advertising in account servicing and planning with leading advertising agencies. Over the years, she garnered articulate written and verbal communication skills and designed effective strategies, primarily for competitive business, advertising, and marketing expansion. Apart from having held several leadership roles, Ipshita has worked on some of the world's most popular brands and concepts from their inception/nascent stage and has helped shape, build and grow reputations with creative sagacity and strong commercial acumen. She believes in lifelong learning and finds great value in collaborative teamwork.
With the domain expertise & critical competencies she honed over the years, Ipshita has the qualities of an effective manager and leader. At Terrra Village Sourcing Pvt Ltd., she brings a professional culture, oversees the implementation of appropriate and effective global best practices and systems, and manages business development, administrative, and communication requirements.
Ipshita & Ronobir are Indian Nationals. They have been married for 27 years and have two children: a daughter and a son. Both the children are pursuing their higher education in leading universities in the U.S. As a family, they are passionately committed to looking into the welfare of strays, rescue pets, and endangered species.
Ronobir
Ronobir has a background of 30+ credible years of managing exports across Europe, the USA, and the UAE. He started his career in 1990 in the family-owned import and export business of manufacturing garments in India and sourcing handicrafts for the U.K. from across Asia and Africa.
Though initially, he gathered a strong grounding and invaluable experience, he felt limited. Ultimately, his innate passion for gaining knowledge and pursuing new experiences pushed him to move out of his comfort zone, the family business, in 2001.
Over the years, Ronobir has worked with several manufacturing companies and sourcing agencies, gaining expertise and know-how on an expansive variety of products, a broader market, and a geographical spread of buyers and retailers. He has also held senior leadership and top management positions, heading profit centers. In his last role, he served as the Country Head for both: the garments & foods division of a billion-dollar importing enterprise.
Ronobir's most valuable edge is his background in the manufacturing side as well as the marketing and merchandising component of the business. Nevertheless, whether it was moving out of his comfort zones or being unsettled by complacency, Ronobir always wanted to start out on his own. Thus, Terrra Village Sourcing Pvt Ltd. was established in partnership with his wife, Ipshita Nandi DasGupta. His strong network of connections over the years, comprehensive knowledge base, experience, and well-founded aptitude in management skills make Ronobir a leader in providing end-to-end service and solutions in the sourcing and exporting industry.
